Diane A. Jenkins

Diane A. Jenkins is the American cofounder and executive director of Friends of the Americas who received the first annual Ronald Reagan American Ideals Award from President Ronald Reagan in 1985.[1] Jenkins was an assistant attorney general for Louisiana and an assistant district attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish. She was named one of 10 Most Valuable People in America by USA Today in 1986.

Jenkins received a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University, was a winner of the LSU Moot Court competition, and was inducted into the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame. She is married to Louis E. "Woody" Jenkins.
